2. How to link products / product variants to an external page using metafields?

STEP 1: Create a Product metafield

Go to Shopify admin > Settings > Metafields and metaobjects > Products.
Click Add definition and create a new metafield.
Set the metafield Type to URL.
Save the metafield.

⚠️ Note: If you want your button to link dynamically for each product variant, just create a Variant metafield in this step. And other steps remain the same.

STEP 2: Input Metafield Values

Go to Shopify Admin > Products.
Click on a product you want to add a label for.
Scroll to the Metafields section and enter the URL for the created metafield.
Save the product.

⚠️ Note: If you want to attach separate links for each product variant, remember to enter URLs for each product variant.

STEP 3: Set up in Theme editor

In the Theme editor > Product information section > Buttons block.
In the First button link using metafields/Second button link using metafields field, fill in the metafield key you've created, using this format:

metafield_key

Example: custom.button_link

STEP 4: Click "Save" when done
