Typography

1. What setup can you do in Typography?

  • Configure font families, sizes, spacing, and text transformations for different elements throughout your store to establish visual hierarchy and brand consistency.
  • Change font weight and style for better visual hierarchy.

2. Location & Setup

  1. Go to “Online Store” > “Themes” > ”Customize”.
  2. Click the Theme Settings tab.
  3. Go to Typography.

3. Setting group overview

Take a look to see what you have within the Typography setting:

Group name Purpose

Heading

Control font family, size, and text transformation (uppercase/lowercase) for all heading elements.

Text

Set the base font family and size for body text and paragraph content.

Navigation

Configure font family, size, and letter spacing for menu and navigation items.

Buttons

Define font family, size, and letter spacing for all button elements.

4. Common Use Cases

🤔 How to create a clear visual hierarchy with typography?

Want to make headings stand out while ensuring body text remains readable? Here's how:

STEP 1: Go to Theme Settings > Typography.

STEP 2: Set Heading styles

  • Go to Typography > Heading.
  • Choose a distinctive font family that aligns with your brand.
  • Increase or decrease the base size suitable for your store.
  • Apply Uppercase, Lowercase, Capitalize, or Default transform for formal headings if desired.

STEP 3: Configure body Text

  • Go to Typography > Text.
  • Select a highly readable font family for long-form content.
  • Increase or decrease the base size suitable for your store.

STEP 4: Fine-tune Navigation & Buttons

  • Go to Typography > Navigation.
  • Adjust letter spacing (-1 to 3px) for better link readability.
  • Set Typography > Buttons with slightly larger text size (105–110%).

STEP 5: Click “Save”.

 

🤔 How to change font weight and style?

Want to make your text bold, medium, or light for better visual hierarchy? Here's how:

STEP 1:
Go to Theme Settings > Typography.

STEP 2:

  • Click on the font dropdown for any element such as Heading, Text, Navigation, or Buttons.
  • In the font selection panel, look for the weight/style options (e.g., Semi Bold, Bold, Medium, Regular) in the bottom-left corner.
    Choose the desired weight.

STEP 3:
Click “Save”.
