1. What is Withdrawal request?
Withdrawal request is a sticky floating button that stays visible on every page of your storefront, giving customers a quick, always-accessible way to start a return or cancellation. It's designed to help merchants meet EU right of withdrawal requirements, alongside the matching blocks in the Header and Footer.

3. Location & Setup
To add the Withdrawal request button:
- Open the Shopify Theme Editor (Online store > Themes > Customize).
- In the left sidebar, open the Overlay group.
- Click "Add section".
- Select "Withdrawal request".
- Click "Save" when done.

- Automatically sends guests to your configured link, and logged-in customers straight to their Order page - no extra setup per page.
- Position, button style, and color scheme are all configurable to match your theme.

🤔 How to add the Withdrawal request button to your storefront?
Don't know where to start with the Withdrawal request section? Follow this:
STEP 1: Add the section
In the Theme Editor, open the Overlay group, click "Add section", and choose Withdrawal request.
STEP 2: Set the button content
- Button label - the text shown on the button. Default: "Return & Cancel here".
- Button link - the page guests are sent to. This typically points to a page built with the Withdrawal request form section.
- Open this link in a new tab - toggle on to open the link in a new tab (default OFF).
- Button style - Primary (default) or Secondary.
STEP 3: Click "Save" when done.
⚠️ Note: The Button link setting only applies to guests. Customers who are already logged in are automatically redirected to their Order page instead, where they can self-serve a return or cancellation - so the button always takes visitors to the right place, whether they're signed in or not.
🤔 How to change the button's position and color scheme?
STEP 1: Change the position
Click on the Withdrawal request section, then under Layout, choose the Button position: Top left, Top center, Top right, Middle left, Middle right, Bottom left, Bottom center, or Bottom right (default).
STEP 2: Change the color scheme
Under Colors, set a Color scheme for light and dark mode.
STEP 3: Click "Save" when done.
🤔 What happens if the Compare button is also enabled?
Withdrawal request shares its position group with the Compare button (from the Product comparison overlay section). If both are enabled and set to the same position, they display together in the order you added them under the Overlay group in the Theme Editor.
⚠️ Note: On mobile and tablet product pages, this floating button can visually overlap a sticky Add-to-cart bar if both are visible at the same time. If you notice overlap, try choosing a different Button position for one of them.
