How to Manage Your Designs

My Library is where you manage all designs installed with OT: Theme Sections. You can add designs to themes, assign templates to specific pages, and remove designs — all from one screen.

To open My Library, go to Shopify Admin  Apps  OT: Theme Sections, then click My Library in the left sidebar.

Add a Section to Your Theme

Step 1: Go to My Library and open the Sections tab.

Step 2: Select the checkbox next to the section(s) you want to add, then click Add to theme.

Step 3: In the modal, select a theme from the Choose theme for installation dropdown. Themes that already have this section show as disabled.

Step 5: Click Add to theme to install the section(s) to the theme you select. Click Go to theme editor to start customizing right away.

💡 If the section is already Installed on a theme and you want to add it to a second theme, select it, click Add to theme, and choose a different theme in the dropdown menu.

Set Up a Homepage Template

Step 1: Go to My Library and open the Home pages tab.

Step 2: Select the checkbox next to the homepage template, then click Add to theme.

Step 3: Select the target theme and click Add to theme.

Step 4: Once the homepage template is added to your theme, select the template and click Set as visible to make it live on your storefront.

If another homepage is already Live on the same theme, a Replace current home page? dialog appears. Confirm to set this template as the new homepage. The previous homepage will be set as hidden.

Add a Product Page Template to Your Theme

Step 1: Go to My Library and open the Product pages tab.

Step 2: Check the checkbox next to the template, then click Add to theme.

Step 3: Choose the target theme and click Add to theme.

Step 4: Once the product page template is added to your theme, select the template and click Assign products. Search or scroll to find a product, then select it.

Step 5: Click Add. The template is now live on your store and assigned to the selected products.

Add a Collection Page Template to Your Theme

Step 1: Go to My Library and open the Collection pages tab.

Step 2: Check the checkbox next to the template, then click Add to theme.

Step 3: Choose the target theme and click Add to theme.

Step 4: Once the collection page template is added to your theme, select the template and click Assign collections. Search or scroll to find a collection, then select it.

Step 5: Click Add. The template is now live on your store and assigned to the selected collections.

Add a Page Template to Your Theme

Step 1: Go to My Library and open the Pages tab.

Step 2: Check the checkbox next to the template, then click Add to theme.

Step 3: Choose the target theme and click Add to theme.

Step 4: An Add new page form appears. Enter a Title (the URL handle is auto-generated), then click Save.

Step 5: The template is now live on your storefront and assigned to the new page.

Remove a Design from a Theme

Step 1: In My Library, check the checkbox next to the design(s) you want to remove.

Step 2: Click Remove in the action bar.

Step 3: A confirmation dialog appears: "You're removing [design name] from your theme(s). This action cannot be undone." Click Remove to confirm.

⚠️ Removing a design removes it from the theme but does not delete your ownership. You can reinstall it from the Library at any time.

Search, Filter, and Sort

Step 1: Use the search bar at the top of My Library to find a design by name.

Step 2: Click a tab (Sections, Home pages, Product pages, Collection pages, Pages) to filter by design type.

Step 3: Use the filter icon (top-right of the table) to apply additional filters such as theme or status.

Step 4: Use the sort icon next to the filter to sort the list by name or installation time.
