How to Add a Design to Your Theme

Adding high-quality designs to your store is quick and completely code-free. Whether you’re installing a single Section, a full-page Template, or a specific Block, the setup process is the same.

Step 1: Enable App Embed (Required)

Before adding any designs, make sure the OT: Theme Sections app is enabled in your theme’s App embeds settings. This ensures all sections and blocks function correctly on your store.

Step 2: Access the Library

From the app’s main dashboard, go to the Library tab. Here, you can choose the type of design you want to add:

• Sections – Individual functional areas such as Slideshows or Featured Collections
• Templates – Ready-made, full-page layouts like Homepages or Landing Pages
• Blocks – Modular elements that enhance your existing sections

Step 3: Browse and Preview Designs

Browse the library or use filters to find the design that fits your needs. Each design card offers several actions:

• Add to theme – Quickly install the section to your selected theme

• View section – View detailed information, including specific features and access to the live demo.

• Try section – Test the section in a trial theme before installing

Step 4: Install to Your Theme

Once you’ve found the right design:

1. Click Add to theme on the design card
2. Select the theme you want to install it on (live or draft theme)
3. Click Add to theme again to confirm

After a successful installation, the Add to theme button will change to Manage section.

Step 5: Customize in the Theme Editor

When the installation is complete, open the Theme Editor using the provided link.

Locate the newly added section in the sidebar and customize it with your own text, images, and brand colors.
